Personality: Quiet and reserved, not very sociable with lesser species. Extremely controlled in pressing situations. Can handle stress quite well.
Physical Description: Large head with two stripes of hair on each side of the prominent craneum. Small noses that protrude very little from their faces; pointy ears, and very large and dark eyes where the iris basically covers its entirety. Unlike their heads, Arcadians have very small and thin bodies that are quite frail. They are small in stature, none of them going over 4 feet and a half in height.
Skills: Quick thinker. Tactical observer. Can achieve extremely fast speeds when necessary even though its usual demeanor indicated the contrary.
Species: Arcadians do not have gender and children are born to a parent (as opposed to a mother)... and each can pretty much impregnate itself without having a mate; however many do practice communal impregnation, where a whole group of able adults all take part in a ritual where all of them share in a sort of mating. Arcadians live in underground communities resembling hives and prefer to keep to themselves as much as possible. They are a vegetarian species and prefer humid environments in which to live. Arcadians are a race that considers itself above all other species, being particularly intolerant of mixed ones, whom they despectively call haflings.
History: Xchl Pao is the offspring of an important Arcadian Embassador. All it's lifetime (sixty would put Xchl in its late 20s in comparison with other races) Pao has felt that any awards and promotions that it has been given has been due to who its parent is. This is a great insult to Pao since it is imperative to its people that anything gained truly IS gained by their own achievements. Its parent hoped that by crushing its spirit in this way the itch to try out the federation game would stop, but it did not. Pao continued its way up the ladder working as diligently as possible, even though deep down it still felt that its parent had much to do with its achievements.
Xchl was met with much repugnance throughout its career. It's strange physiognomy, the eeriness of its movements, and the ever-creepy eyes did not gain it many friends and so Pao was often on its own, simply an outsider observing everything around it. This has proven to be quite a great advantage as Pao has achieved a level of attention that can even categorize it as having photographic memory. Pao seems to always be serious and reserved; however it has quite a strange sense of humor. It enjoys putting people on the spot and gets a rather warm gratification of making people nervous. So many years of being looked at a freak made it decide to actually continue the game and truly let people believe it was indeed a freak.

Is an Arcadian one of the Green women that Kirk had fun with?
oh no! Those are Orions I believe - they the pleasure slaves. I wanted to make one of those; however, they are not part of the Federation of Planets since most of their people are pirates in nature and they will not leave behind those ways. The Federation won't have that.
Arcadians are members of the Federation of Planets and also serve on the Federation Council. Not much is said about them in the series, simply that they are that. That makes it fun. ^_^ You can pretty much decide how they are.
Ooooo... I was close i guess. I was always fond of the Ferengi myself. $$$
The Ferengi rule! I would like to live by their rules of acquisition... too bad I'm a hew-man feeeemale.
"Moogie" and the Nagus changed the rules. Females can attain profit and wear cloths now.
