Past Due Images of Gazebo

I fianlly took the last picture of the painted gazebo/arbor, so here they are!

First we make 4 holes, 3 feet deep with these

The hole

Then we put these erm tubes to pour cement into

That is how it looks

We start placing the beams for the frame

As you can see it is not too big, 8x8

The tube lever, the lever, shovel, the erm... mixing thing, and the trowel

Okay so we poured the cement into the tube and settled some clamps with about 8-inch screws. This is done to anchor the gazebo as well as prevent cracking when cement expands during the cold weather, etc.

A different view of the same thing

The whole structure up and still not completely secure. This was done 2 days after the setting of the cement

From this view you can see we hadn’t leveled the base. Once that got done everything straightened out pretty well.

Spacd out ceiling to let all that nice Texas sun thru

A more ‘Artistic’ view

So here we are leveling the base and setting the steps to start nailing the floor.

Not completely leveled.

Ah! This is more like it.

Beams for the floor.

The pretty floor. We finished late but finished.

The finished gazebo, unpainted.

The finished gazebo with paint!

Artistic close-up? :p

A view from away... with the base for the brick grill, but that’s another project.

Very cool. It will look very nice when the ivy is growing over the top of it. Or grapes! A brick grill will be cool too.
